There's no doubt swimwear is becoming racier and racier - but could one brand be taking it too far?

The popular Australian clothing brand Beginning Boutique have promoted their latest range on Facebook, where they have been inundated with thousands of comments from amused customers.

The bikini that has so far received the strongest reaction is their Haymen Bikini Tee Red & White $59.95 and Heron Bikini Bottoms Red & White $39.95.

In just a matter of days, the shot has gained over 149 thousand comments and 35,000 shares.

The Beginning Boutique website said the 90s inspired bikini bottoms feature 'a white body with red trim, a super high cut waist, adjustable sides, and a Brazil-style bottom.'

Aside from looking uncomfortable, commenters are confused by the logistics of how this style of bikini bottom manages to cover the vagina.

'I can't even sit like this in a normal bathing suit without my camel trying to stick its toe out and test the water,' one bemused commenter said.

Another person went as far as to call the product a 'cl** hammock'.

'I had a less intrusive smear test today,' said another.

Many people couldn't believe that this was happening, with one person asking: 'Are we not meant to have vaginas in 2019?'.

This photo started a snowball effect as multiple photos the brand have shared of their swimmers has had similar treatment.

After posting a campaign shot of a model in the Fraser Triangle Bikini Top Blue & White Stripe $49.95 and Fraser Bikini Bottoms Blue & White Stripe $49.95 internet users had a field day.

'Do you have any suitable for mums with vaginas that hang like sleeve of wizard. Asking for a friend? In all seriousness though I reckon this would cover the c section pouch,' one person said.

Some commenters said that they have ended up following the account simply so they can keep up with everyone's creative comments.

Another said that the only possible reason behind the swimmers is that Beginning Boutique is only advertising these kind of swimmers for a 'publicity stunt of overwhelmingly hilarious comments'.

The Cabana Bikini Bottoms Metallic Black is another pair of swimmers that has customers confused

'Great marketing, even if it's at the expense of adding to the mentally detrimental unrealistic beauty standards and insecurities within the women and what is being perceived as Barbie doll labias as normal,' they added.

Many comments said that it looked like the model was wearing an eye patch in the wrong area.

'Raise your hand if your vagina has ever felt personally victimised by Beginning Boutique,' one commenter said.

'The model is a smoking hot babe, it's not her fault this boutique is trying to make fanny floss happen!!! Stop trying to make fanny floss happen!' Said another.

Facebook users are at a loss for words as to why what looks like a seat belt is included in the Andros Top Fluro Yellow

This isn't the first time the brand has created controversy over their swimmers as when the brand previously promoted Cabana Bikini Bottoms on Facebook last week many poked fun at the design's lack of fabric.

The scanty swimwear, which retails for $49.95 and comes in nude, features an extreme high waist and little else.

'I'd need my cervix waxed to wear that!' one Facebook user joked.

The nude briefs, made of nylon and spandex, are extremely high-cut and feature a buckle design on the side for readjustment.

'I'd need my cervix waxed!' Australian customers joke about a bikini bottom's very high-cut design

'POOL SESH @olivia.mathers looks UNREAL in the @9.0swim Cabana Bikini Bottoms Matte Nude $49.95!' the retailer captioned the photo.

While Olivia did look sensational, most Facebook users took the comments section to poke fun at the design's lack of fabric.

'Dental floss springs to mind!' one wrote, while another added: 'Surely she's got those on back to front'.

Others said that they would need every inch of their body waxed, and would be guaranteed to suffer a wardrobe malfunction.

'Jesus Christ forget the bikini wax... I'd need my God d**n cervix waxed to wear that,' one wrote.

'God, now we have to worry about c*it slips as well as nip slips!' another posted.
